【活動】海峽兩岸四校共探數智時代的新語言教育 Four Universities Across the Taiwan Strait Explore New Language Education in the Era of Digital Intelligence

The 20th Cross-Strait Four-University Conference on Foreign Language Teaching was held from October 15 to 16, 2025, at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). The event was hosted by BFSU, with participation from Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU), and Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages (WZU).

Centered on the theme “Innovation in Foreign Language Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Intelligence,” the conference featured presentations from the four universities on topics such as AI-assisted language instruction, teachers’ digital literacy, intelligent materials development, and bilingual education practices.

President Chuang of Wenzao delivered a keynote speech focusing on the university’s practical approaches and outcomes in integrating AI into teaching and student learning. Faculty members from the College of International Culture, Education, and Foreign Affairs also contributed presentations, including Mr. Tony Kung (Department of Foreign Language Instruction), Ms. Sandie Lo (Department of English), and Ms. Tina Chen (English Teaching Center).

The conference underscored the shared commitment and collaboration among the four universities in advancing foreign language education through AI innovation in the new era of digital learning.

In addition, the program included a campus visit to the Beijing Foreign Studies University Library and the World Language Museum. Through the guided tour, participants gained a deeper understanding of BFSU’s history and its distinctive approach to language education.

第20屆海峽兩岸四校外語教學研討會於2025年10月15日至16日在北京外國語大學舉行。本次研討會由北京外國語大學主辦，並由上海外國語大學、輔仁大學及文藻外語大學共同參與。會議以「人工智慧與數智時代的外語教育創新」為主題，四校分別針對AI賦能教學、教師數位素養、教材創新與雙語教育實踐等議題分享最新研究成果與經驗。本校莊校長於會中發表演說，聚焦於本校AI融入教學的具體作法與推動成效，本學院（國際學院）教師亦踴躍參與發表，包括外語教學系龔萬財老師、英文系羅宜柔老師，以及英語教學中心陳虹育老師。此次研討會展現四校在AI時代共同推動外語教育創新的深厚實力與合作願景。此外，本次活動亦安排參訪行程，包含參觀北京外國語大學圖書館以及世界語言博物館。透過參觀導覽，與會教師進一步了解北外的校史沿革與語言教育特色。
