【活動】國際學院院專業問卷審題會議 Consultation and Review Meeting on the Institutional Competency Questionnaire

On August 14, the College invited department chairs and an external committee member, Chueh Difeng, Director of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at Feng Chia University, to participate in the "Consultation and Item Review Meeting on the Survey of Core Competencies of the College."College."The meeting focused on planning the pilot test and reviewing the questionnaire items. Designed by integrating the distinct characteristics of the four departments with UCAN competency indicators, the survey covers core competencies such as language communication, cross-cultural and global vision, digital literacy, critical thinking, and teamwork, aligning with the College’s mission to cultivate Global Talent.
The external committee recommended that the wording of the items be more closely aligned with employment platforms and industry terminology, thereby creating a clear framework linking “College Goals – Department Goals – Career Orientation.” This approach would enhance the understanding and recognition of both students and parents, and the suggestion received strong support from all participating faculty members.
Moving forward, a pilot test will be carried out through online surveys, with at least ten classes participating. To encourage greater engagement, classes achieving a 70% response rate will be eligible for a prize draw, while teachers will receive certificates of appreciation. The final results will inform curriculum reform, ensuring that students’ learning outcomes are aligned with industry needs and further strengthening the College’s academic profile and social impact.
國際學院於 8 月 14 日邀請各系主任及校外委員逢甲大學外國語文學系闕帝丰主任,共同召開「院專業問卷諮詢暨審題會議」,聚焦於「院專業能力問卷」的前測規劃與題目審查。該問卷結合院內四系特色與 UCAN 職能,涵蓋語言溝通、跨文化與國際視野、數位素養、批判思考及團隊合作等核心能力,呼應學院培養環球人才 (Global Talent) 的目標。
校外委員建議題目用語更貼近就業平台與產業語彙,形成「院目標—系所目標—就業導向」的清楚脈絡,進而提升學生與家長的理解與認同,獲與會師長一致肯定。
後續將進行前測,透過線上填答方式完成至少 10 班測試。為提高參與率,規劃班級達 70% 填答即可抽獎,並頒發教師感謝狀。最終成果將回饋課程改革,確保學生所學與產業需求接軌進而提升辦學特色與社會影響力。
