AI Empowering Bilingual Classrooms: VILL Virtual Classroom Training by the International College

Despite the arrival of a typhoon, the College successfully held the VILL Virtual Classroom Training online as scheduled on August 13, 2025, demonstrating its commitment to advancing digital and bilingual education. The VILL Virtual Classroom, introduced in this session, is a digital platform acquired through the Bilingual Education Program, featuring integration with AI technology to enhance classroom interaction and learning outcomes.

With a year of hands-on experience, instructor Tina led the session, sharing in detail the platform’s features, practical operation methods, and teaching applications. She highlighted the platform’s biggest advantage—an integrated chatbot connected to the GPT API—through which students can ask questions, engage in discussions, practice English, and receive instant feedback.

To help teachers quickly get started, Tina demonstrated techniques for writing prompts and explained how to incorporate AI tools into various teaching scenarios, fostering students’ critical thinking and self-directed learning skills. The event concluded with the distribution of a comprehensive teaching manual and an online production guide, ensuring that participating teachers could immediately apply what they learned to their classrooms, further advancing the integration of AI and bilingual education. 儘管颱風來襲，國際學院仍於 8 月 13 日如期在線上舉辦「VILL 虛擬教室使用說明」，展現推動數位與雙語教學的決心。本次活動介紹的 VILL 虛擬教室是透過雙語計畫購置的數位平台，具備與 AI 技術結合的特色，能有效提升課堂互動與學習成效。擁有一年使用經驗的 TINA 老師擔任講者，詳細分享了平台功能、實際操作方法與教學應用技巧。她特別指出，平台的最大亮點在於內建可連結 GPT API 的 chatbot，學生可透過此功能進行提問、討論與英語練習，並即時獲取回饋。為幫助教師快速上手，TINA 老師示範了撰寫提示詞（prompt）的技巧，並說明如何將 AI 工具融入不同情境，培養學生批判思考與自主學習能力。活動最後提供了完整的教學手冊及線上製作指南，確保與會教師能即時應用於教學，推動 AI 與雙語教育的深度整合。
