【活動】匯聚全國專家智慧共商雙語教育藍圖 Pooling National Expertise to Shape the Blueprint of Bilingual Education

To consolidate bilingual education resources on campus, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages established the Office of Bilingual Education in the 2024 academic year. In order to gather insights from experts across various fields, the university convened the inaugural meeting of the Bilingual Education Advisory Committee on June 19, 2025.

Esteemed experts invited to serve as advisory committee members included: the Dean of the International College, National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, Dr. Wen-Hsien Yang, the Director of the Bilingual Education Center, National Cheng Kung University, Dr. Wen-Li Tsou, Department of Information Management, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Dr Raymund Lin, Department of English, National Taiwan Normal University, Dr Chiou-Lan Chern, and the Director of the Language Center, National Chung Cheng University, Dr Wen-Chun Chen.

The meeting began with opening remarks from President Hui-Ling Chuang, who warmly welcomed the committee members and expressed appreciation for their participation. President Chuang also personally presented letters of appointment to each advisor as a token of gratitude and respect.

Following this, Prof. Li-ying Wu, Executive Director of the Office of Bilingual Education, delivered a presentation outlining the current initiatives and future roadmap of bilingual education at Wenzao. After the presentation, each advisory committee member shared valuable experiences and practices from their respective institutions.

Dr. Wen-Chun Chen from National Chung Cheng University introduced the university’s use of micro-credit programs to motivate student learning, along with a campus-wide promotion of EMI (English-Medium Instruction) starting from the Language Center. Prof. Raymund Lin emphasized the importance of English proficiency in the workplace, drawing from his industry experience to highlight how this motivates students. Dr. Wen-Li Tsou presented the "Professional Development" courses designed to support non-language faculty in enhancing EMI instruction effectiveness at National Cheng Kung University. Prof. Wen-Hsien Yang elaborated on the achievements and challenges of bilingual education implementation at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism.

This meeting fostered the exchange of diverse perspectives and practical recommendations, offering Wenzao valuable strategic insights for the continued advancement of its bilingual education efforts, while also strengthening inter-university collaboration and resource sharing.

文藻外語大學為整合校內雙語資源，於113學年度設立「雙語教育辦公室」。為廣泛蒐集各界專家學者意見，特於114年6月19日召開首次「雙語教育諮詢委員會」會議，邀請國立高雄餐旅大學國際學院楊文賢院長、國立成功大學雙語中心鄒文莉主任、國立臺灣科技大學資訊管理系林俊叡教授、國立臺灣師範大學英語學系陳秋蘭教授，以及國立中正大學語言中心陳玟君主任擔任諮詢委員。

會議由本校校長莊慧玲教授致詞揭開序幕，感謝與會委員撥冗參與，並親自頒發聘書予各位委員，以表感謝與敬意。隨後，由雙語教育辦公室執行長吳麗英教授簡報本校雙語教育推動現況與未來規劃。簡報結束後，各諮詢委員分享各校推動雙語教育的寶貴經驗。國立中正大學語言中心陳玟君主任介紹該校如何透過微學分學程激發學生學習動機，並以語言中心為起點，逐步將EMI（英語授課）推廣至全校各學院。國立臺灣科技大學林俊叡教授則結合其產業經驗，強調英語在職場的重要性，藉以激勵學生投入學習。國立成功大學鄒文莉主任分享該校為非語言專業教師規劃的「專業發展課程」（Professional Development），以協助教師提升EMI教學效能。國立高雄餐旅大學楊文賢院長亦詳述該校雙語教育計畫的執行成果與挑戰。

本次會議激盪多元觀點與實務建議，為文藻外語大學未來雙語教育的推動提供寶貴參考與策略方向，並促進校際間經驗交流與資源鏈結。
