Pre-Meeting of the Nation’s First LLM Prompt Competition

With the rapid advancement of generative AI, mastering prompt engineering has become an essential skill for effectively utilizing AI. During a recent meeting, an outbound committee member also emphasized this trend, suggesting the promotion of related activities to enhance students’ AI application abilities. In response, the Dean of the ICEFA College (the College), the Director of the Center for English Language Teaching, and Ms. Tina Chen initiated discussions on January 16, 2025 at Z506 and ultimately decided to organize the nation’s first LLM Prompt Competition, providing students with a platform to showcase and refine their AI skills.

During the discussions, we set the competition date for April 23. With the consideration of the university’s language features, we established a requirement for participants to have B1-level English proficiency, ensuring participants can effectively use English prompts to enhance creativity and expression. This competition is not only a test of AI-related skills but also represents an integration of academic and technological innovation. Through this event, the College aims to improve students’ digital literacy and global competitiveness.

學院與英語教學中心共同舉辦全國首創 LLM 英文提示詞競賽籌備會議

隨著生成式 AI 的迅速發展，學會提示詞已成為有效使用 AI 的基本技能。本校校務委員在校務相關會議中亦強調此趨勢，並建議推動相關活動，以提升學生的 AI 應用能力。基於此構想，國際文教暨涉外事務學院院長、英語教學中心主任與 中心教師，陳虹育老師於1月16日在Z506展開籌辦全國首創 LLM 英文提示詞競賽的會前會，為學生提供一個展示與精進 AI 技能的平台。

在討論過程中，除了確定比賽日期為2025年4 月 23 日，並考量本校語言特色，決定參賽者須具備 B1 英文能力，以確保能順暢運用英文提示詞，發揮創意與表達力。此次競賽不僅是 AI 技能的驗證，更象徵學術與科技創新的結合，期望透過此活動提升學生的數位素養與國際競爭力。
