國際學院大一新生與院長午餐座談 Freshman Luncheon with the Dean

To enhance the connection and understanding between the freshmen of the College of International Culture, Education, and Foreign Affairs and the institution, the college hosted three “Freshman Luncheon with the Dean” sessions on October 24 (Department of International Affairs), October 30 (Department of Foreign Language Instruction), and November 21 (Department of Translation and Interpreting). These events, held in a relaxed luncheon format, provided a valuable opportunity for students from the Department of International Affairs, the Department of Foreign Language Instruction, and the Department of Translation and Interpreting to engage in face-to-face discussions with the Dean, sharing their experiences and challenges in learning and campus life while fostering mutual interaction and understanding.

During the luncheons, the students showcased their diverse backgrounds and shared the reasons they chose Wenzao University. These included their passion for language learning, aspirations for future career development, and the advantages of Wenzao’s academic reputation and strategic location. Their enthusiasm and goals were inspiring, with some expressing ambitions to excel in fields such as translation, aviation, diplomacy, and education, while others aimed to join leading companies both domestically and internationally.

Special guests, senior students Michael and Darren, joined the luncheons to share their valuable experiences in learning, internships, and career development. They provided practical advice on utilizing resources to participate in international forums and professional competitions and offered insights into internship opportunities and career planning. Their contributions inspired freshmen to actively explore possibilities and make the most of the resources available during their time at Wenzao.

The students also candidly addressed the challenges they face in their academic journey. 為促進國際學院大一新生對學院的認同與了解，學院於10月24日（國事系）、10月30日（外教系）及11月21日（翻譯系）分別舉辦了三場「大一新生與院長座談」活動。活動採輕鬆的午餐形式進行，讓來自國事系、外教系及翻譯系的新生們有機會與院長面對面交流，分享學習與生活中的經驗與挑戰，並藉此增進彼此的認識與互動。

在座談中，學生們展現了多樣化的背景與特質，並分享了選擇文藻的原因，包括對語言學習的興趣、未來職涯發展的期待以及文藻在學術與地理位置上的優勢。這些新生的熱情與目標讓人印象深刻，他們當中有人對翻譯、航空、外交及教育等領域充滿期待，也有人希望未來能進入國內外知名企業發展。
