AI成為你最棒的教學幫手

AI is my best assistant

On November 30th, Ms. Tina Chen from the English Teaching Center shared her classroom experiences utilizing AI as a Medium of Instruction with faculty members in room 1308. Acknowledging the challenges posed by the era of cloud computing, Ms. Chen proposed a transformative role for teachers, casting them as creators while positioning AI as a valuable assistant.

During her presentation, Ms. Chen introduced diverse APPs and tools. Notably, she suggested Clipchamp for accent practice, facilitating the creation of curriculum-related videos. Tools such as Grammarly and Quibot were recommended for grammar correction, while Predis.ai could be utilized for crafting text videos and posters. Emphasizing the importance of teacher guidance, Ms. Chen advocated for experiential learning to foster proactive learners engaging in critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and reflective learning. Real-life situations were proposed to be integrated into the classroom, enabling practical application of acquired knowledge.

In conclusion, Ms. Chen emphasized that while education shouldn't overly depend on AI, hesitancy shouldn't result in its abandonment. She underscored the necessity of finding a balanced integration of AI technology to propel progress in education. Students were encouraged not only to provide peer feedback through surveys but also to engage in self-assessment of their classroom learning.
