※Summary: On December 12th, Ms. Ti-Wan Kung (龔蒂菀) from the Department of Industrial Design at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology shared her insights. Ms. Kung highlighted her use of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the classroom, primarily focusing on the three facets of sustainable development: social progress, climate and environment, and economic growth. Additionally, Ms. Kung prompted educators to contemplate creation and innovation, hoping teachers would design opportunities for students to think critically, innovate, problem-solve, and exercise empathy in their learning. She suggested employing ice-breaking activities to foster student camaraderie. Ms. Kung proposed tools such as empathy maps, scenario storyboards, design assessments, and a headline news approach, allowing students to learn and grow through hands-on experiences. Through these methods, teachers learned to engage in dialogue with students in class, fostering innovative modes of interaction.
