【活動】如何設計SDGs議題融入英語彈性學習課程 Integrate SDGs into Flexible English Learning Programs

學院於5月4日舉辦教師社群講座，邀請李芃莛主任以「SDGs 議題融入英語彈性學習課程設計」為題，分享如何將聯合國永續發展目標（SDGs）融入國小英語彈性課程，並透過實際案例介紹課程設計與教學實踐經驗。

講座中，李主任介紹 SDGs 的核心概念與教育意涵，並說明相關教學資源及應用方向。另以三光國小英語彈性課程為例，分享如何依據學生程度與生活經驗，選擇適合的 SDGs 主題，透過生活化及在地化內容，引導學生理解永續發展概念。

此外，講座以 SDGs Goal 6「乾淨水與衛生」課程為例，說明如何結合水資源議題、英語學習活動及「酷英」平台數位資源，使學生在學習語言的同時培養永續發展意識。本次講座兼具理論與實務，提供教師將 SDGs 議題融入英語課程的具體方向與教學參考。(17/4.8)

On May 4, the College organized a faculty community lecture entitled “Integrate SDGs into Flexible English Learning Programs,” featuring Director Li as the guest speaker. The lecture focused on incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into flexible English learning programs at the elementary school level, with practical examples illustrating curriculum design and teaching practices.

During the lecture, Director Li introduced the core concepts and educational significance of the SDGs, as well as relevant teaching resources and approaches. Drawing on the flexible English curriculum implemented at Sanguang Elementary School, she explained how SDG topics can be selected based on students’ proficiency levels and everyday experiences, allowing students to understand sustainability concepts through practical and locally relevant learning activities.

The lecture also highlighted SDG Goal 6, “Clean Water and Sanitation,” demonstrating how water-related issues can be integrated into English learning activities. Digital resources from the Cool English platform were also incorporated to enhance students’ motivation and participation. Combining both theoretical perspectives and practical examples, the lecture provided participating teachers with useful ideas and concrete approaches for integrating SDGs into English language teaching.
