【活動】EMI教師的倚天劍與屠龍刀：AI × OER EMI Teachers’ Twin Blades: AI X OER

本次講座「EMI教師的倚天劍與屠龍刀：AI × OER」於115年3月23日以線上方式辦理，邀請國立臺北商業大學通識教育中心林怡安教授擔任講者，分享全英語授課（EMI）中教材運用與教學創新的實務經驗。講者指出，傳統商業教科書價格高昂且授權限制嚴格，於疫情遠距教學期間更凸顯其使用不便與版權風險，同時也增加學生經濟負擔。

講者進一步介紹開放教育資源（OER）之理念與應用，並說明創用CC授權的重要性，以協助教師合法且彈性地運用教材。此外，亦分享生成式AI工具於教學中的多元應用，包括教材翻譯與簡化、測驗題生成及課程內容優化等，有效提升備課效率與教學品質。整體而言，本次講座展現AI與OER結合之潛力，為EMI教學提供更具彈性與創新的發展方向。(24/4.9)

The lecture titled “EMI Teachers’ Twin Blades: AI X OER” was held online on March 23, featuring Prof. Lin Yi-An from the General Education Center of National Taipei University of Business. The speaker shared practical experiences in English Medium Instruction (EMI), highlighting challenges associated with commercial textbooks, including high costs and strict copyright restrictions. These issues became especially evident during the period of remote teaching, where access, distribution, and usage of teaching materials were further constrained, placing additional financial pressure on students.

The speaker then introduced the concept and application of Open Educational Resources (OER), emphasizing the importance of Creative Commons licensing to ensure legal and flexible use of teaching materials. In addition, the lecture demonstrated how generative AI tools can be integrated into teaching practices, such as for translating and simplifying materials, generating assessment items, and enhancing course design. Overall, the session illustrated how the integration of AI and OER can support more flexible, innovative, and effective approaches to EMI teaching.
