【活動】續學關鍵時刻中的教育回應 Educational Responses at Critical Moments of Student Persistence

一月二十九日及二月十一日,國際學院舉辦兩場以「續學關鍵時刻」為核心的聚焦式討論,由學院各系所主任與副主任共同參與,從第一線觀察出發,回應當代學生在學習歷程中逐漸浮現的猶豫與動搖,以及學習動機不足所帶來的挑戰。討論聚焦於學生在不同階段所呈現的狀態變化,並思考教育現場如何及時回應這些訊號。

 

交流過程中,院長亦指出,教師在面對續學議題時,未必能即時掌握校內可提供之支持資源,進而影響對學生的引導與陪伴。基於此,學院於活動後提供相關輔導指引與班會引導提問,作為教師於教學與班級經營中的參考依據,期能在學生做出關鍵選擇之前,協助其在充分理解與支持的情況下,形成對自身學習歷程與未來發展更為適切的決定。

 

 

On January 29 and February 11, the College held two focused discussion sessions centered on the theme of "Critical Moments of Student Persistence." The sessions brought together department chairs and associate chairs from across the College to reflect on frontline observations and to address the growing hesitation and uncertainty students experience during their learning journeys, as well as the challenges arising from insufficient learning motivation. The discussions examined changes in students' conditions at different stages of study and explored how educational practices can respond to these signals in a timely and appropriate manner.

 

During the exchanges, the Dean also noted that when faculty members confront issues related to student persistence, they may not always be immediately aware of the support resources available within the University, which can affect their ability to guide and accompany students effectively. In response, the College provided relevant counseling guidelines and discussion prompts for class meetings following the sessions, serving as reference materials for faculty in teaching and class management. The aim is to support students, prior to making critical decisions, in forming more appropriate choices regarding their learning trajectories and future development through informed understanding and adequate support.
