【活動】勇敢挑戰，拓展國際視野-泰國實習分享 Challenges and Horizons – Thailand Internship Experience

On October 2, the College hosted the “Thailand Internship Sharing Session,” opened by the Dean and Professor Li-Ying, who introduced the variety of overseas internship opportunities available through the English Department and encouraged students to take part.

Three students shared their experiences in Thailand. Yu-Huang, a student from the Southeast Asian Studies Department majoring in Thai, spoke about overcoming nervousness when communicating, often switching between Thai and English, which significantly improved her language abilities. Leo from the English Department shared his interest in Thai culture, his work experience in the F&B department, and what he learned from serving VIP customers. He emphasized the importance of being open-minded, managing emotions, and embracing challenges. Halina, from the Five-Year Junior College of English Department, described her role at the hotel front desk, where she updated guest information and provided on-site translation. She expressed her excitement at receiving her first paycheck and highlighted how the internship enhanced her skills through “learning by doing.”

The session underscored the value of intercultural communication, professional growth, and personal development, inspiring many students to consider joining future international internships.

學院於10月2日舉辦「泰國實習分享會」，由院長及麗英老師開場，向同學們介紹英文系多元的海外實習機會，並鼓勵大家踴躍參與。分享者包括東南亞系的玉凰、英文系的 Leo，以及五專英文科的 Halina。玉凰透過實習提升了泰文與英文能力，並體會到跨語言服務的挑戰與成長；Leo 因對泰國文化的熱情投入實習，分享了在餐飲服務中的學習與收穫，強調開放心態與情緒管理的重要；Halina 則在飯店前台實習，透過實務操作增進專業，並首次體驗領薪水的喜悅。三位同學的經驗不僅展現了跨文化交流的價值，也激發在場學生對未來國際實習的期待。
