Cultural Exchange Activity with Exchange Students from the Philippines

On May 28, 2025, the College of International Culture, Education, and Foreign Affairs (CICEFA) was invited by Kaohsiung Municipal Hsin-Chuang Senior High School to co-host a cultural exchange activity for visiting students from Far Eastern University Alabang, Philippines. The event was designed as a half-day cultural immersion trip, aiming to bring international students closer to Taiwanese daily life through local-guided experiences.

In the afternoon, Wenzao students—Gary, Ashley, Diego, Sally, Kelly, and Minji—departed from Hsin-Chuang Senior High School together with the exchange students and traveled by chartered bus to the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. Acting as local guides, CICEFA students led the group through the cultural district from a local’s perspective, fostering meaningful interaction and cultural connection.

The group visited the Jhan-2 Warehouse, Eslite Bookstore, and several creative stores repurposed from old warehouses. Throughout the tour, Wenzao students shared their views on Kaohsiung’s culture and lifestyle. The experience was rounded off with a tasting of locally inspired treats—banana cookies paired with coffee and refreshing ice cream, offering guests a multi-sensory taste of Taiwan.

The activity concluded in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Through thoughtful guidance and hospitality, CICEFA students showcased their international reception skills while building genuine connections with the exchange students. The event not only deepened mutual understanding but also laid the groundwork for future collaboration and cross-cultural learning.

國際學院學生接待新莊高中菲律賓交換生文化體驗活動

國際文教暨涉外事務學院於2025年5月28日（星期三）受新莊高中的邀請，參與接待該校合作夥伴——來自菲律賓 Far Eastern University Alabang 的交換學生。為促進文化交流與國際理解，雙方特別規劃一場半日文化體驗行程，期望讓國際學生透過在地導覽，更貼近台灣的生活文化。

當日下午，本院學生 Gary、Ashley、Diego、Sally、Kelly 及 Minji 與交換生自新莊高中出發，搭乘遊覽車前往高雄駁二藝術特區展開行程。由本院學生擔任陪同導覽角色，帶領交換生以當地人視角探索駁二，透過實地走訪展現在地生活風貌，拉近彼此文化距離。

活動路線依序造訪棧貳庫、誠品書局，以及數間由舊倉庫改建而成的文創小店，學生們一邊導覽，一邊分享個人對於高雄文化與特色的理解。其後，亦安排交換生品嚐在地特色點心——香蕉餅乾搭配咖啡，並享用冰淇淋，從味覺層面進一步體驗台灣魅力。

本次文化交流活動在熱絡愉快的氛圍中圓滿落幕。藉由本院學生的用心陪伴與導覽，不僅展現出優質的國際接待能力，更促進雙方學生自然互動與文化理解，為未來持續深化交流合作奠定良好基礎。
