Dr. Ken K. K. Lau of the University of Hong Kong visits Department of English and engages in academic exchange with faculty members. He also helps to co-teach the MA course of the department. (2018.6.13–2018.6.16)
Dr. Ken K. K. Lau is assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong. He earned his PhD in Applied Linguistics from Lancaster University. He has published in a range of topics, including the assessment of reflection, English as a lingua franca, English learning experiences, genres, and ESP.
At the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) at the University of Hong Kong, he chairs the Publicity and Outreach Committee and was the progamme co-ordinator for the Postgraduate Diploma in English Studies. He was awarded visiting professorship by Mahidol University in Thailand in 2012 and Yuan Ze University in Taiwan in 2013. He was a visiting scholar at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan in May 2015.
